Last Updated: August 24, 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to SessionBase! These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of SessionBase, Inc.'s ("SessionBase," "we," "our," or "us") website at https://sessionbase.ai, the SessionBase Command Line Interface ("CLI"), the SessionBase Model Context Protocol ("MCP") server, and all related products, services, and features (collectively, the "Services").

By using, downloading, installing, or otherwise accessing the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" will also refer to that organization.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use the Services with the consent of a parent or guardian.

ARBITRATION NOTICE: Except for certain types of disputes described in Section 15, you agree that disputes between you and SessionBase will be resolved by binding arbitration, and you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

2. Accounts

To use certain features of the Services, you must create an account and authenticate via Google or GitHub OAuth. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@sessionbase.ai if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. User Content

The Services allow you to upload, push, and share AI coding sessions, including logs, metadata, and related information ("User Content").

  • Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring it does not contain confidential, personal, or sensitive information you do not wish to disclose. Do not upload personal data, financial data, or regulated data (e.g., HIPAA, PCI, FERPA). SessionBase is not designed for such use.
  • Visibility: By default, sessions are public and discoverable. You may mark sessions as private at any time. Public sessions may be indexed by search engines and featured in SessionBase community features.
  • License to SessionBase: By uploading User Content, you grant SessionBase a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display your User Content for the purpose of operating and improving the Services.
  • Removal: You may delete your User Content at any time. Deleted content may persist in backups for a limited period. SessionBase may remove or restrict access to User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

4. Proprietary Rights

Except for your User Content, all rights, title, and interest in the Services, including software, documentation, and SessionBase-provided content, are owned by SessionBase or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

5. License and Restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Services.
  • Circumvent security features or usage limits.
  • Use the Services to infringe intellectual property rights, violate laws, or distribute harmful content (e.g., malware).
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
  • Use the Services to build a competing product.
  • Unauthorized Access: You may not access or attempt to access the Services (including any underlying APIs, endpoints, or databases) by any means other than the official SessionBase interfaces (such as the CLI, MCP server, or website) provided to you. You may not reverse engineer, probe, or otherwise attempt to discover undocumented APIs, endpoints, or methods of access to the Services.

6. Pricing and Beta Access

The Services are currently offered free of charge to Beta users, subject to usage limits. We may introduce paid plans in the future.

As a Beta product, features and defaults may change, and the Services may contain bugs or errors. Use of the Services during Beta is at your own risk. You should not rely on the Services for critical or production use.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your information.

8. Modification and Termination

We may modify or discontinue the Services at any time, with or without notice.

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Services.

Certain provisions of these Terms (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.

9. Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Services, you grant us the right to use it without restriction or compensation.

10. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Amazon Q Chat). SessionBase is not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their terms.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." SessionBase disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SessionBase and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, or data.

Our total liability for all claims related to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SessionBase and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Disputes and Arbitration

These Terms and any action related to them will be governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Except for small claims disputes or requests for injunctive relief, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be finally settled by binding arbitration conducted remotely (e.g., by video conference) in accordance with the rules of JAMS (Judicial Arbitration & Mediation Services).

You agree to resolve disputes only on an individual basis, and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.

You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@sessionbase.ai.

16. Miscellaneous

  • These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and SessionBase.
